Magneto Vol. 1: Infamous

If any of you guys are familiar with the X-Men (One of Marvels superhero teams that is comprised of mutants who carry the “X-gene” hence the name X-Men, as well as their fearles leader Charles Xavier), then I need not explain too much as you clearly know who Magneto is. For those of you who might not be so familiar, Magneto is an extremely powerful mutant who has the ability to…yup you guessed it, control the metal through manipulations of magnetic forces. Magneto has a very interesting villain backstory. As I stated before, the head of the X-Men is Charles Xavier, who at one point used to be best friends and college of Max Eisenhardt A.K.A. Magneto. The two had a major falling out as their ideology of how mutants should react to living in a human world where the local human population has highly mixed feeling about their presence in society. Many believe the mutants are unsafe and should be eradicated or cured, where other think they can assimilate into society and in fact help humanity with their powers. This line is too much for Magneto as his quick temper leaves him too angry towards any opposition so Magneto forges  an alliance mutants willing to do anything necessary to display the dominance of their race, where Charles Xavier and his X-Men strive for peace and a more coexisting relationship with regular society. This series is awesome as it just focuses on Magneto himself where most X-Men comics have a deep variety of characters who are all focused in on the clashing of the two views. So it is very nice to get a close up on the evil mysterious man of metal manipulation and how he got to be this way.

Synopsis –Once the deadliest, most feared mutant mastermind on the planet, Magneto is no longer the man he was. After allying with Cyclops and the X-Men, he became a pawn in another man’s war. But now, determined to fight for mutantkind’s survival on his own terms, Magneto sets out to regain what he’s lost…and remind the world why it should tremble at the sound of his name. Magneto will safeguard the future of the mutant race by hunting down each and every threat that would see his kind extinguished – and bloody his hands that they may never be a threat again. But as horrors from his past loom large and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents pursue him, will Magneto soon become the villain he once was? And how will a mysterious woman from his past affect his mission?
